Well, the trip down to Thunder Beach was a long one. 96 miles away from the shop we had another blow out on the hauler but luckily this time it didn't take a fender off with it and we were right at an exit where a tire store was so 45 minutes later we were back on the road again and not 2 hours like leaving Sturgis.

Thanks to everyone who came by to see us and thanks to everyone who got their seats worked on. We had a pretty good rally and talked to a lot of people about doing custom covers for them this winter so like last year this was another worthwhile trip. There were times we really needed a third person with us and I may make our road crew a little larger for next year.

Everything at the shop is running as smooth as silk right now. We are getting a good number of orders daily and believe it or not this is the start of our slow time of the year. October and November are our two slowest months out of the year, I guess guys are trying to get that last ride in and when they put the bikes up the seat is out of sight and out of mind but once we hit December the orders really start picking up again.

While I was at Thunder Beach we made some really good contacts and hopefully one of them will be a big one and if everything works out we may be in Daytona for the Spring rally this coming year but we'll have to wait and see. The people set up across from us sold leather jackets and vest along with patches and had a sewer with motorcycle seat cover experience and that really helped as we had a few customers who needed some places repaired on their covers so we were able to get that done while we worked on their seats. I think if we can get things worked out to where we can do covers at the rallies too then we will really need to grow the rally team and business will BOOM! Another thing I am thinking about also is taking orders for custom covers for the rallies, we will make the cover per order for a specific bike in whatever material the customer wants and we can install it right there at the rally and if need be maybe make the cover on the spot which would be pretty cool also...we'll have to see what I can come up with.

That's going to wrap up this week's what's new. As always, till next time be safe and enjoy the ride.
