Well Sturgis has come and gone for another year. We had a good showing again this year and will be returning next year in the same location, which is next door to Sturgis Harley Davidson. We had the Impact Gel guys from La Crosse Wisconsin set up with us this year and they had a good show and it worked out really good for us both. I doubt we will be able to do that again though, I learned a few things at this rally and we'll need all the real estate we can get to have everything that I have plans for next year.

Scheduling is remaining strong and we have been able to maintain the 2 weeks out on scheduling which works really well. Same turnaround time as usual, overnight. It amazes how some people don't understand the scheduling. I know I have gone over here time and time again and it is clearly explained on the scheduling page and then the turnaround time blows their minds.

We have two maybe three more events to set up at this year before we start planning for next year's rallies. Two of the next three are in NC in Maggie Valley. We are already locked into the Thunder in the Smokies and are working on getting in on the Carolina Harley dealers rally which is called the Rally in the Valley but that one is still in the air right now. The last rally will be the Thunder Beach Fall Rally. We will be setting up at the Marriot again which is the same location that we setup for the spring rally and hopefully will be our home away from home for all the rallies there.

Again, I have to thank Steve and Brent for keeping the shop up and running while I was gone to Sturgis and I have to thank my buddy Robbie for his help in Sturgis. These guys made my job a lot easier and all of us working together made the trip worthwhile. Although, we did experience a few problems on the way back. We weren't even a hundred miles outside of the Rapid City when one of the trailer tires blew out which ended up putting us 2-3 hours behind while getting that fixed. The only other issue we had was a bike breaking loose in the hauler which happened after our last fuel stop. Luckily nothing much happened to Robbie's bike but my gas tank now has a few big scratches and a couple dents in it which sucks but we made it home safely and that's the most important thing.

Next month we will be holding our 5th annual VTX Tech Session here at the shop. I can't believe we have been holding these for 5 years now. This will be the first one held in our new shop and I am sure the regular attendee's will be in for a big surprise with all the room we have now but that seems to be going away rapidly though.

I am going call it a wrap on this week's update. Sturgis was fun but it's good to be back home and sleeping in my bed again. That army cot is good for a few days but two weeks sleeping on it gets old.

Till next time be safe and enjoy the ride.
